for me the trees in the foreground actually make the whole scene more interesting. the important thing is you got the head in a nice clean spot.

I can see what you mean, they do perhaps lend a bit of immediacy to the photo. It would have been nice to have had a choice though.

I do like this type of capture, showing the natural surroundings of these beautiful creatures.
Yes they will stand and watch you for ages, you caught it well.
My only critisim is the blue tinge, I feel it would look better if you warmed it up a bit

Works for me. Looks like a very natural capture. Helps that they are out of focus and are a neutral colour.
