1Ds is from 2002. Old tech, tiny LCD. I wouldn't. 5D sensor is miles better.

It's a much tougher call than it looks on paper. I've had a 5d for a couple of years and use it lots for work. In all that time I still have a nagging feeling I should have bought the 1Ds.

It's very much down to what you want to be doing with it. From what I've seen the file quality is actually quite similar at low ISO.

you have to try them. I had the 5D, bought a 1ds mk2. the 1d series are the bees knees. I sold my 5D
