Ah right cheers TobyDefinitely. There were thousands of these huts, along with the familiar round corrugated iron Nissen Huts, no longer needed after post-war demobilisation, and the were eagerly bought up by farmers (and parish coucils) all over the country for a multitude of uses.
I'm not saying this in the picture was not used as Military or POW etc, but some originally built for different uses..

Indeed they were - many of the old Butlins camps were originally barracks or POW camps!
