Many of the dealers that sell secondhand lenses will have FD glass in their stock list...check out this thread http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=30638

There are a couple of forum where you'll find some helpful reading....
http://forum.manualfocus.org/ and http://forum.mflenses.com/

Bob, rhanks for the advise. I'll lookinto those forums too....waiting for my Panasoni DMC-G1, but seen a couple of lenses on ebay and they vary from throwaway to prized possesions. How do I know which one I'm getting.

The second dealer list also seems to have the same problem as mentioned by photon on the dealer listing.

FWIW, my advice would be to stick to FD primes. Zoom technology has come a long way in the last 20 years and you'll see far more IQ difference between FD primes and zooms than is evident with today's EF lenses.

Worth having a look at this Malaysian forum I use for specifics about individual FD lenses.

Bob,
tha't good advise. And a great link. Wll read that.

But cant workout why some sales on ebay go for peanuts where others are just under a hundred quid, especially when both have the same pics or description.

Bob, based on your link, I was able to get a 50mm f.14 and an 28mm f2.0 with confidence....now the easy bit, learning how to use them finicky manual thingies !

thanks

There's a wealth of goodies out there if you can get the hang of it.....something which everybody did 25 years ago.

That's e-bay for you. A quote I read seemed to sum it up very well for me,

"some people will pay £15 for a £10 voucher"
