Critique Old gentleman

Went out on Sunday to try out my new Canon 60D on the good people of Windsor (Surrey)
I'm not very good at this but like this shot of the old gentleman and would like to know what others think of it.
(AV 85mm f/6.3 1/320)

Yes I like it but knowing me I would have possibly tried a different crop cutting some of right hand section off which may have meant a loss of a top slice.

I would also be tempted to use the localised brush to get some of his eyes showing.

But for me a good shot (y)
 
Daryl, the shadows are pretty harsh, will your software pull them back a bit (eg under the hat brim)? I'm guessing this wasn't the kind of shot where you could get him to hold a reflector to open them up a bit! That urn to the left is a bit distracting, and it's hard to see what you could have done... if you'd moved to the left his face would have merged more with the darker area behind... maybe lowering your pov might have helped? But all that said, there's lots of lovely detail in his face. Like it.
