Any tamron lens with SP written on it!
There are always peple raving about them, I personally have found every one I've used very 'meh'. Of course people also rave about Nikon lenses which I'd also describe as meh too.
Lenses you can use and get the best from on Nikon are few and far between unless you want to shoot macro, the best old lenses (other than Zeiss and Leica and their high class ilk) are Pentax, Olympus and Minolta - whose adapters all need glass in them to allow infinity focus on a Nikon body.
If you want to stick to Nikon mount, then watch out for Vivitar Series 1 lenses, they're all good but heavy, Newer Tokinas are pretty good but they tend to be mostly slow lenses, they're often much more compact than their competitors.
Old Sigmas are to be avoided like the plague, they are of utterly woeful construction and with the exception of the 24mm and 28mm f2.8 primes. pretty bad optically too.
