Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye

I took this on a trip to Skye in 2007 and pretty much forgot all about it. Weather was great but an hour after this shot was taken my tripod failed and that signalled the end of the camera, 17-40L lens and the trip! Anyway I am interested in what you think of the shot and the crop. All C&C most welcome.

I think your a little too far from the pointy bits! And the light is a little too harsh on the day, not your fault - Scottish weather can be **** unpredictable. Sorry to hear about your misfortunate.
 
I took this on a trip to Skye in 2007 and pretty much forgot all about it.

Much more saturated colour than when I went there, but it is exactly the same spot, at the cattlegrid, where everyone stops for the same picture.

Get your boots on and get down to the water or down across the marsh or up on the hill for a different view.

I cycled to that from portree back in in september, Then climbed up and sat under the old man, Stunning when your up there, i had the camera with me but didnt get the best shots.
 
Wow, the grass really is greener on the other side!
