Old nikon Ai/Ais lens

Anyone else noticed the prices of many of the old ai/ais lens have risen steeply over the past year or so on reselling sites.is this because of the price of new nikons are becoming unafordable or what

example : i have an old vivitar 28mm f2.0 vgc which i paid £20 for on fleebay 5 years ago,recently i have seen several of these going for near £200 and last week was offered £150 for mine,thats a meteoric rise.

so anyone else here finding similar rises on their older lenses

All old lenses are shooting up in value, not just Nikon lenses. Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogons are now running at £140.00 I paid £35.00 just two years ago for mine!

This is due in part to a greater interest level seen by digital users in cheaper lenses (although the cheaper part may not apply so widely anymore!) and users of systems such as Sony NEX demanding lenses where there aren't any high quality models available in native mount yet.

Great if you have a load of old lenses hanging around
