Old pentax lenses on new Samsung GX20/Pentax K20D

My dad has loads of old lenses for his pnetax SLR, some very very good ones, such as the Vivitar 17-200mm zoom lens.

I was wondering, if I was to by a new Samsung GX-20 or a Pentax K20D, will those old lenses fit and work?

If they do I am aware that I will have to manual focus and will get no auto features that I would from a new DSLR lens.
 
Well I found:

Also found:

You can use (without adapters) any Pentax K-mount lenses, old and new, made by Pentax, Samsung, Sigma, Tamron or anyone else, as long as they are K-mount. Here is an excellent resource on all things K-mount: www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/
Sigma 100-300 mm f4.5 - 5.6 is cheap, you can probably get a used one on eBay for around U$50, but don't expect outstanding quality

The restriction of the KAF2 mount is that there's no mechanical aperture linkage.

You press the green button near the shutter release and the lens stops down and the camera sets the exposure (you'll probably have to enable use of the aperture ring in a menu). Or, Av mode works if you use the lens wide open (great for the portrait lenses).

With the D series Pentax bodies, use of the aperture ring switches the flash to TTL so there's no pre-flash, which is an advantage when photographing persistent blinkers.
 
BTW, the Vivitar will be 70-200mm.

If any of the lenses have the A setting button on the aperture, then use that and you can control the aperture from the camera and all features (other than auto focus, unless you get the appropriate teleconverter) will be available.
 
Would I be better off going for the pentax K20D then, as opposed to the samsung?
 
Im only going to be shooting proper raw, so that dosent bother me.
 
The Samsungs seem to be generally priced slightly below the Pentax equivalents but some people are put off by the Samsung branding especially when paired with Pentax branded accessories / lenses... each to their own! Either way both great, capable cameras, check out the relevant groups on FlickR for example shots.
