I remember the Retinette well, never owned one myself. At that time I used a 15"x12" plate camera at work, for product photography, and a Rollie for outdoor photography, both owned by my employer. Apart from my half-plate, I had an Edixaflex 35mm of my own, with waist level finder.

I don't remember why I bought that half-plate, I think that I used it mainly as a learning tool.
