Olympus 300mm f4 pro+2x teleconverter, iso 12800,200% crop.Distance 25 meters.

Some people say 2x converters are no good, with the right lens, careful editing good results can be achieved.

I was very undecided about buying the MC-20,however I have been delighted with the results on static or slow moving birds.
Not so good on tracking.

TBH, I'd only tried the Nikon F mount 2x extender years ago, and that was pretty soft no matter what lens it was attached to. The MC-20 was the first 2x extender I'd used that actually gave very useable results, and I remain pretty impressed. Coupled with the Olympus 300mm F4 Pro, it's a fairly cheap and lightweight way of getting to 1,200mm effective) focal length - albeit at F8. I've even used it on my 40-150 F2.8 Pro to give me a 80-300mm (160-600 F5.6 equivalent) lens with excellent results.
