Decisions, decisions. I currently have a 300mm pro, but I am considering p/x it against a 150-600, particularly with the black Friday offers about. The extra reach is so tempting, but will I suffer a dramatic drop in image quality?
Hard to tell ,I use the 300 and with both t.c’s but I do know that with the 2x on 1200mm reach in FF terms your running into atmospherics at distance ,however at closer ranges to fill the frame the zoom would be helpful .. ,the I.q is the big question plus reliability I saw the other day someone had at least two faulty copies so caveat emptor
Depends if you like the flexibility of a zoom as well or prefer fixed lens not tried the 150-600 but have the 150-400mm and find that more than adequate for reach Currently £500 cashback on the 150-600 lens
