Olympus 40-150mm v R version?

Can anyone tell me whether there is any obvious difference between the Olympus 40-150mm original version and the newer 'R' version? Someone online mentioned that the newer one auto-focussed quicker on the newer cameras, can anyone confirm this? With thanks, Sarah

I have used both versions and as far as I know the only differences are cosmetic exterior ones. Never heard of the R one being faster to AF but I have not used it on the latest models (OMD, G5 etc) as I don't own them.
