Toying with adding a wider lens but of course im budget conscious :(
Basically looking for something wider than the kit 14-42 like the 9-18?

Being budget concious I notice that the four thirds version with a micro four thirds adapter seems to sell cheaper than the specific micro four thirds lens and im wondering if theres any disadvantage of going down that route? Any thoughts appreciated

I already had the right adapter so I bought the 4/3rds version and love it.
Most folk who handle it are surprised at the focus speed : not too slow but a bit of shuffling.
I spent some time finding out which of my m4/3rds bodies suited it, I have a lot to choose from.
I think my lens was under £200 when second-hand m4/3rds versions were about £350 so an easy choice for budget.

Let's hear from anyone who had both...

I was in the same boat, I held off buying either of them for about 4 months until I seen WEX selling a 2nd hand m4/3 version for £260. I do prefer the smaller size, especially for my smaller m4/3 bodies. I'd hang on and see if a good deal pops up.

I noticed a M43 one on lce for £300 earlier today.
