ive had a work collegue ask me: would the lenses for an olympus om30 slr fit and be ok on an olympus e420?

due to the age of the slr im not sure what the answer is, i would assume yes, both being olympus. but i thought i would be better to check with those who know better.
 
They do work but you have to buy an adaptor (about £10 on E Bay), you have to use manual apeture and focus and the focal lenght is effectively doubled due to the crop sensor so say a 50mm OM legacy lens has the equivilant focal lenght of a 100mm lwns on a 35mm film camera.

You can use the DSLR in either manual or Aperture mode when using an old OM lens with an adapter. Either way you set the aperture on the lens and then either set the shutter speed on camera (manual mode) or allow it to work it out for itself (aperture mode).

Yes, manual focus.
