hi all i have a olympus e-420 and i am starting to look at new lenses but as i see it there are only zuiko lenses that autofocus.i have searched the internet endlessly looking for awnsers but rather than spend £200 or more on a lens and then it being incompatible i would rather ask people who have had experiance. thanks ;)

You can get Sigma 43rds lenses and Panasonic ones too (although these are fairly costly). These will both autofocus. Just make sure you get the fourthirds and not micro fourthirds ones.

Having said that, the zuiko digital lenses are generally very good quality at reasonable prices.

whay not zuiko lens? i would say there 'cheap' for what you get! i have a 14-54 f2.8 [£220] and 50-200 f2.8 [£470] and are lovley lens, wide apature, sharp, well built and 'weather proof' on the right body.. i love them, i would say thay are a nice step up from the standard olympus 'kit' lens

only thing i have head, the 50-200 can be prone to something coming undone internally... can be fixed easily *** - not that i have ever had this problem! :)

i see your in wigan, if your ever at oulton park you are more than welcome try a lens on your body..

cool thanks for the reply. i was on about going to oulton park in september so i may give you a shout currently i am using a 14-45 and i think a 40 - 150 unsure where to go from there as far as adding to my kit.. cheers

i started with those lens.. the different of the f2.8 is quite big! much sharper.

i would try and get to the gold cup, if you like classic or just some very loud cars you have to go. for me the highlight of the year! :)

see you down there!
