Save £101, was 699, £598 it should be!!

Don't know if you're heart's set on this but from experience I'd say proceed with caution.

I loved the concept and form of the camera and thought it would be a perfect carry anywhere outfit. However, despite early signs being great, the camera drove me absolutely crazy primarily because of what seemed to be a completely random focussing system. This was compounded by the fact the focussing was also ridiculously slow.

This was a shame as, when it worked, image quality was great and had that superb Olympus colour rendition. I ended up selling the camera and have now bought the Panasonic GF1 with the 14-45 lens. This has an infinitely superior focussing system plus equally good image quality and a much better control system.

Current price is £90 more than the Olympus but worth every penny and may well drop soon.

If I'm misreading your post then sorry for the rant! If not then I really recommend testing the two cameras alongside each other before making a decision

Yes you are, but thank you for telling us about your experience with the EP-1 and the GF1; I've been looking at them both and you've helped put (yet)another tick in the GF1 box.
