Hello,

I just bought a mint condition old Olympus Evolt E-510 with two lenses one 14-42mm and the other is 40-150mm.
My question is which lens would be best for macro shots?

Neither in reality . It’s a now outdated system the lenses are o.m fit? I believe so worth keeping as they will fit. MFT bodies with a adaptor . Likewise you could get a 7 artisans 60mm macro for £159 new in MFT fit and a MFT to OM adaptor . That would work

You could always try an Olympus Four Thirds Manual Extension Tube Set consists of three different sized extension tubes that fit between a Olympus Four Thirds camera and lens to enable greater magnification. £20 or thereabouts. See how that works out?
