Olympus OM 2 SLR lens adapter for Pana micro four thirds?

I have acquired an 80mm macro lens from an Olympus OM2 SLR.

According to Google AI, you can buy an adapter to fit this on a Panasonic Micro four thirds (my G9 being the camera)

Before I trust Google, are these easy enough to get? Will the camera stores have stocks? or is this a pretty specialist adapter, or only used versions around these days?

Just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction to a product, supplier please?
 
I'm not sure how likely you would find one in a physical shop but the internet is full of them. One example.


Probably goes without saying, but these are completely contactless so you'll need to enable the camera to shoot with no lens and you'll be in full control of aperture and focus.

This is all very new to me, so I presume you have to adjust settings to enable shutter operation with no lens in the menu?
Then you have a manual operation only lens with no electronic autofocus?

I’m afraid I don’t know for the G9. On many cameras, you need to enable an option to shoot without a lens basically because the camera will have no idea there is a lens attached. The camera will still be able to meter so it can adjust iso and shutter speed but you’ll be in charge of focus and aperture.

I hope you enjoy it Keith. I've used Olympus Zuiko's on both my MFT cameras and my Sony A7.

Remember to set the camera to shoot without lens and use aperture or manual modes.

Shame no one has bought the film era Sigma 50mm macro in Minolta fit I have for sale in the for sale section :D
 
I may have one lying around ,give me a few hours to remember to look for it , let you know later hopefully
 
o.k found it the best way is to list it in the for sale section ,as don't want to fall foul of the mods ,will list in a few minutes

nope totally wrong item a mf-2 adaptor is for four thirds lenses to MFT bodies ,Keith is after a adaptor for a OM fit lens to MFT bodies

Yes absolutely FOUR THIRDS LENSES , which were the first generation of digital camera /lenses … BUT Keith has a film era OM fit lens which is a totally different mount again . If you haven’t used them you wouldn’t be aware of the differences I have used all three types so am fully aware of the difference.

And additionally for the enlightenment of others in the thread the mmf-2 and mmf-3 adaptors for four thirds lenses as well as the viltrox clone all have a full set of electronic contacts and enable ALL functions with FOUR THIRDS LENSES ,the only downside being they are a lot heavier lenses than there MFT equivalent ones

Also when using a OM lens via a adaptor on a MFT body ,you don’t have to enable shoot without lens etc , but it’s advisable to enable focus peaking

It's easy to see why people get confused with Olympus' adapter names. The difference between MF-2 and MMF-2 is only a couple of letters, but they're for completely different lens systems. Thanks to everyone for clearing that up, it'll definitely help anyone searching for the same answer in the future.

I stand corrected I wasn’t aware there was a MF-2 as well as a mmf-2 but saying that Keith needs a MF-2 type adaptor and it’s all boxed up awaiting payment . And yes the numbering system is very confusing even to users like myself that are familiar with the system
