Ha! Yes I fell for the same thing - it looks knackered, but it's totally normal. I've had my OM10 for a couple of weeks and love it - they're great.

You can pick up the batteries fairly cheaply anywhere - I got a two pack in currys for about 3 squid LR44 is the code.

I'm well excited - I've already got a couple of Zuiko lenses which I can try out with it too, now I just need a film.
 
So far I've put two test rolls through it - I'm just about to send them off for processing. I'm keen to see how they come back as I think the seals need doing on mine - they certainly borderline. I have have a kit on order which is taking an infuriating length of time to get here.
 
Got a mint OM10 with only one tiny problem in that the battery check doesn't work.

Have to admit I don't think it's had a film in in about 20 years, it has had new batteries though and seems to operate.
I even still have my manual adapter :D
 
Check ebay for SR44 or LR44. £2 inc postage for 10 last week from the UK :)
 
I found this thread by a google search as I have an OM10 which was my late brother-in-law's, and hasn't been used for 8 to 10 years. It too has the same shutter problem as described exactly by the original poster..... but I have good batteries in there, and even put 2 new LR44s in to check and it still wont advance.
The battery check light is fine, so I'm wondering if there could be a mechanical fault with it.... can anyone give me some more tips please?
