Has anyone tried this out yet?! I'm keen to read hands on reviews and to see some photos taken by it too :)
 
Looks pretty good but it's no GF1 :)

Nor is it meant to be. The Olympus bodies are edging the Panasonics at the moment in terms of noise (ignoring the GH1- that's a whole different ball-game) with their Truepic V processor and the E-PL1 has a lower anti-alias filter giving higher effective resolution. It can also command remote flashes like the Olympus FL-36R, FL-50R and the Metz 48 and 58 units.

The aim of the E-PL1 is it is very small and light - which has sacrificed some of the buttons and thumb controls to the menu system. As far as IQ goes, it should be as good or better than the GF-1. I think the maximum ISO is restricted, but I would not see that being much of an issue - the use of ISO 6400 is not an everyday setting!
