I recently got my hands on an Olympus pen f. However, there seems to be something stuck in the card slot. I’ve tried air blowers, small dental hooks, a tooth pick and can’t get it out. It’s proper wedged in there. The money I spent on the camera has been refunded, so I’ve basically got a pen f for free, but at the moment it’s unusable. Can anyone direct me to instructions on removing the card slot to give it a thorough clean? I doubt it’d be worth sending it away for a repair. I imagine the cost to repair it would probably be about the same as finding another secondhand model, or maybe more? The camera also has another issue which I was made aware of when I purchased it and that was the off switch doesn’t work. I wasn’t too bothered about that. Although, the seller thought it was okay to use a swollen battery in the camera which was sold along with it and a third party charger. So, that swollen battery likely caused damage to the off switch.
Is this even worth pursuing a repair, or shall I just be grateful I got a refund?
