Olympus pen or tz10?

I'm going to Germany next month to see my girlfriend and I'm in a bit of a dilemma. My d5000 is at argos still being reparied, and they reckon it'll still be a month. Plus it's a bit large to take on the plane, sooo, I'm thinking of 2 compacts. I went into curries today, and I was blown away with the pen ep1. It is so lovely! And I can get one for about £250 with the kit lens. But, for similar money I could get the tz10, which doesn't have as good a sensor, but is smaller and arguably does more. So, what would you say? I'd still be using my iPhone for quick snaps, but something better when I have room. Plus I like the gps on the tz10, and it's movie mode and lens are better, but them again the Olympus is just gorgeous and better quality... :/

My secretary has the tz10 and I must say, I've been impressed with the results from it. Very nice indeed. Apparently if you leave the gps switched on, it eats the battery.

A PEN for £250? Buy that. Go for a tz8 over the 10, who need gps on a camera?

... and it is a complete nonsense D5000 is too large to go on a plane unless you take 600mm kit!

I'm only saying the d5000 might ba a bit large because I don't want it to be a photography holiday where I'm more interested in the camera than my gf, plus for days out and things, it is a bit big, when photography isn't the priority, hence something smaller...
