hi all,

i have recently been given a Olympus SP-590UZ for my birthday, i have had great fun using all of its features as i am fairly new to this, however i am looking into getting the TCON17 conversion lens which would help with wildlife photography (which is what i like most) i am also aware that i need to get a adapter as well (CLA10 or CLA11). i recently went to my local phtography shop and although they didnt have it in stock they said i would lose image quality and sharpeness, i have looked into reviews and the limted ones that there are seem to suggest that i wouldnt lose any quality,

i was wondering if anyone could give me some first hand review on someone who has used this lens and whether it is worth the £100+ price tag and if image quality is lost is it such a big amount (and would a amateur photographer like me be annoyed by it)

thanks in advance
Pete

Pete, Can't help with the Tcon-17 but had one a few years ago on a Fuji S7000 and worked fine.
Check out The Raynox teleconverters http://www.digitaltoyshop.co.uk/pro...5445&lg=1&c=RAYNOX_DCR-2025PRO_TELEPHOTO_2_2X

I use one on my Fuji S100fs and its excellent and works best in bright conditions (like the other T-cons) the image quality is very good and you can pick them up on Ebay for £50.00 quite often also has more range than the tcon-17.
Check out the Flickr groups for Raynox example shots you will be suprised at some of the shots!
