Not thinking of switching yet but does anyone know how the e3 performs and what its iso useability is compared to my D200
 
No idea compared to the D200 specifically.

I get usable results up to ISO 800, which I find is more than adequate for my needs. Bear in mind that the fast glass is generally cheaper (or at least it was!) and you can generally shoot at lower ISOs anyway.

When I have had to clean up an image it's generally worked well.

Historically the olympus ISO has been more accurate than some makers.

By which I mean that I've seen test results where the olympus iso 800 was actually high 700s and the 'other leading brand' ISO 800 was really only 600 ish.

I'll go hide now before people start throwing things....
