Well I've gone and done it now, I've bought a D300 from MPB and the wife knows and hasn't gone ballistic :thumbs:.

Just need to get that Nikon 300mm f2.8 and I'm sorted......:thinking:

Nice one, I love my D300, only trouble is I now have a hankering for a D700. Enjoy it, and good luck with the 300 2.8.

First thing to do is get the firmware updated, and you'll be sorted.
 
I bought a D300 and my wife didn't go mad but it was her christmas present :)
 
Nice one! It's a great camera...takes a bit of setting up to get it as you want it, but worth the effort.

(Oh, I downloaded the D2x shooting modes from the Niklon website....they're pretty good IMO.)

Andy I have a spread sheet thanks to Nikonians website with suggestions for setting up the shooting banks, let me know if you want a copy.
