Can somebody clarify something in relation to BBF for me please?

I have BBF setup as normal but when I use a remote release does the camera return to its default ie does the camera focus/release shutter off the shutter release button on the remote?

I hope my question is clear enough (sleep deprivation is a bummer )

No. To put it simply. If you use BBF then you are committed to using the back button to focus every time. The button on the remote will not activate focus, merely the shutter.
