One I am Quite Proud of

I think its fab, to my untrained eye it is as good as most I've been having a browse over lately! Well done!

A good clean capture, sharp and for me, nicely composed. Looks like that otter has very precise slicing skills (y)

Looks good to me too (y)
The only slight comment I would make as the Otter is looking left of frame,
you can afford to crop it to the stump, on the right of frame.
And even a little off the top,
That'll put the eyes / head on a 1/3, which seems to work for live subjects.
Not a criticism, just a suggestion.

I have tried what you said and converted it into Mono to see how it looks

It's far better in colour.
I do love the shot, but I think you have taken a bit too much off the top
It's now too cramped in the frame and looks like it's crouching

Excellent shot agree with Chris and Ingrid with the crop , it just needs a bit of a crop to make a great composition but not as much as in your second edit
It's worth another go as it's a great shot:)
