bahhh decisions decisions.
For the same price I have the opportunity to buy either:
A) Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro with built in AF motor for my D40
or
B) Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 AF-S & Nikkor 55-200 f/4-5.6 VR
So what do I do? option a gives me a tack sharp lens with outstanding bokeh and is a proper macro lens, however as a walkabout lens it'll be difficult at 90mm and the AF is purportedly slow so anything not static won't be great.
option b will give me two useful additions to my 18-55mm - a telephoto to complement it and a sharp prime with a decent 35mm angle, and could quite possibly make my walkabout camera bag complete, however both lenses have average bokeh and will not be optically as good as the 90mm tamron..and no 1:1 macro of course...
