trying to broaden my horizons and expand my photography skills. I usually shoot abandonment but have acquired a flashgun and have been having a play of late. I don't get the speedlite out as often as I should as I should. Would love any feedback

I think the first is a cracker and no real suggestions for improvement.

The second makes my eyes leave the frame, following what the subject is looking at - I think it would be better if the negative space was on the other side.
