Right had a play the other night when the cloud cleared.

Picture 1 taken with:
Canon eos 30d
Kowa Tsn 824 Telescope (82mm end glass)
850mm photo attachment, effective 35mm equivalent focal length is 1360mm when on a digital body.

Picture 2 taken with:
Same scope but with a 50x eyepiece attached
camera was on my Samsung galaxy s2 phone and 4x digital zoom
not sure of total magnification as I don't know the focal length equivalents.

I really like them both, but the first has some blue fringing which is quite noticeable - I think if you could remove it that first pic would be perfect.

I've noticed the fringing on a lot of the moon photos that people have been posted - either blue or green...

The detail of the 2nd shot is awesome though!

You took that on a camera phone??
Great result, how do you attatch the scope to the camera, or is it a case of just aim down the eye piece?

oooooooh, very good indeed

Thanks very much (y)

With my phone I just held it up to the eyepiece, very tricky though at such high magnification. My 30d attaches via a t-mount

....awe... don't ya just love the Moooooon (y)

Cheers for the comment Kev, it's a superb subject.

Hiya Michael,

Great moon shots, I too noticed the fringing ..... but nevertheless still great shots.

Well done

Cheers
