In the country, people like to keep all kinds of animals from
every / anywhere around the world.

My surprise that day was this 5'10" - two+ yo female north
american bison.

Though I was told:
" …nah, go ahead… she's a sweet heart!" I went in… slowly,
keeping an eye on my subject, with racing heart I took this
portrait. I SAW IT MOVE… and I ran out the enclosure.

When I felt safe behind the fence. I looked at it again and, yes,
she had raised her head by +/- 2 cm! :banghead:

Not really. I know the owners and I was told she is very sweet
but that is still a big, massive thing at first encounter!

I would like to see increased exposure on her face.

The face, head, and lower parts of the body are really dark.
I already applied locally some shadow recovery… but more?

Tricky one that as the face is really dark. Yes you would see more, but I think it would spoil this lovely image. Is there a crop Daniel? Looks a little tight to me eye, granted it’s a big beast, but I would like a touch more room around it. Great shot.

Hi Fi,

Yes… the first time. She doesn't know she's a buffalo with
a reputation… and she did not learn to have a bad attitude.

Like they said: "she's a sweet heart!" even though one's ins-
tinct says otherwise.
