Only Sparrows (but need your opinions)

Trying out the 1.4x on my 300 f4 non is (Handheld).

I've used this set up in the hills for fast jet stuff and wasn't impressed.
So decided to try it out on something not moving too fast

What do you think? :thumbsdown:

ps.. Probably cropped nearly half the frame overall..

Cannot see much wrong with them Neil but in saying that you dont get many Sparrows using after burners

I like the composition and setting on the branch with the blossom, whilst I see what you were after with the first, I prefer the second as I usually like to see the birds eye with a nice catch light

I actually quite like the abstract feel to #1

Nice natural colour in both of these. I too pefer the 2nd shot and as Martyn says a catchlight makes all the difference to bird shots.

Good idea Neil, I kept mine and used it on the 300 IS lens, still got the TC today.
