Been out this afternoon to try out the new 70-200 VRII and X2 TCIII. Turns out they didn't have the TC in stock, so only got to try the lens, but what a lens it is! What can I say - I'm in love with it and now I've gotta find a way of having it. Why oh why did I go try it? :bang:

If you want to save a bit of dosh, the VR1 is very very good on a DX camera
yeah, I have seen that point made in a few of the reviews, but theres a chance that I'll go full frame later on so going for the VRII version now will save me then
