Opening pdf's in thunderbird on a Mac

Guys,
Just jumped over to iMac from pc.
First problem I've come across, I can't see a way of opening pdf's in Thunderbird.
Double click on the file but nothing happens.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Preview will open PDF files. I guess you just have to tell Thunderbird which app to use to open the file.

Sorry, I don't use Thunderbird so can't be much more helpful than that.

Any reason why you are using Thunderbird and not Apple Mail?

Just that I'm used to the way Thunderbird handles junk mail.
I might give Apple mail a go at a later date but, I've got enough of a learning curve going on figuring out how to use the iMac at present.

Stick with it ,it will take But you have to do things the Apple way Not what your used to .. just changed from a 2013 I.mac to a Mac mini and the speed is incredible
