Opinions on focussing screens for 5d mkii

Hi all,

Im looking into options for replacing my focussing screen with the use of a fast manual lens in mind. I'm interested to hear opinions of any EG-S screen users in particular, or anybody using some of those cheapo split screens from china...
 
I fitted an EG-D focusing screen to mine with vertical and horizontal grid. It's made a world of difference to my horizons.

Mickledore got one for his too for the very same reason.

Not sure I'd fit a split focus screen as they are not made by Canon and do affect metering. Genuine Canon ones have a setting in the 5d2 to correct it depending on the screen fitted.

Is the EG-D any better for manual focussing than the standard screen? I used to have the equivalent in my old 60d and it was great, but then i asnt trying to manual focus . It seems like the EG-S is the obvious choice for manual lenses but having f4 screens I'm not sure if it'll be a good idea for me to fit one- and it's not very practical to keep swapping them!
