Opinions on Tamron SP AF 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD

I have recently purchased a FF body, and I have been looking for something around at 24-70 or 24-105 ranges, then I saw this. Now I know its not as wide, but its more for indoors portraiture / general purpose. Do you think that the image quality will be acceptable from the Tamron, or any issues with softness?

Thanks for the input, it almost seems too cheap. I know you're not paying for IS/OS/VC so should be cheaper. Anyway, I'll make my mind up soon and most likely go with it.
 
I have one(think I got mine from Gary lol) it's much lighter than the Tamron 24-70 f2.8(which I also have)... and, as Gary say's, it is a very good lens.
 
I purchased one (SH) without the BIM a couple of weeks ago for my D750 and not sure if it was faulty (it had been tested by the company???), but the lens was a dog and wouldn't sharpen up until around f8, so I sent it back. I have owned two previous ones with a BIM when I had the D7000 and they were both excellent copies. So make sure you get a good one, as there can be some varying copies around.
 
I had a well used one on Canon full frame. Superb lens for the money although mine was soft at the long end until stopped down a bit. Very light for a high spec lens. With Canon you are forced to get the lens with the built in motor, which is not particularly quick. Wasn't a problem for me though!
 
It will be on a Canon, and thanks for the input from everyone so far. I should maybe live with the EF lenses I have at the moment, especially at this time of year. But its hard to resist...
