Hallo guys,
Anyone using the 055XB regularly? I've come to the conclusion that I won't spend several hundred quid on a travel tripod, which might only come up to my chest in the end (I'm 6'2").
And someone wise here mentioned once (I paraphrase): "Stable, light-weight, cheap. Pick any two properties for a tripod." I also guess that stability requires a certain amount of weight.
Then I've stumbled across this, where the centre column is replaced with a more stable platform. Dropped the lad an email, but he hasn't come back to me yet.
The tripod seems to crop up frequently on eBay. Do you think I'd be happy for the usual long term exposures at night and for infrared?
