You need to star align the individual images first and then stack them.wow amazing shot, sorry I missed this, would love to have a try could you provide more details on the actual stack, thanks
M4/3 kit is just as good as Full Frame for Astro images. The Starry-Sky focus capability is better than anything I am aware of on a Full Frame camera. The fact that you stack multiple images substantially reduces any noise in the final image, the noise in one image cancels the noise in another. The more images you take and stack the better.,That is fantastic.
Am I right in thinking this was taken on m4/3s kit?
I’m really impressed, Astro is something I’ve been interested in trying for a while but I’ve always thought my m4/3s kit might not be as good as full frame results. But this has certainly changed my mind.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the info, the noise was my primary concern, I didn’t realise that the stacking would reduce the noise, I had visions of it increasing noise but at the same time adding more detail. I will certainly look into this further now.M4/3 kit is just as good as Full Frame for Astro images. The Starry-Sky focus capability is better than anything I am aware of on a Full Frame camera.
