Out on the Boat and got some Pelicans

Good morning everyone, Im not a UK resident and I am currently living in South Florida, here in the States. I was out on my in-law's boat on Sunday last week, and decided to take my D5100 with my 18-200MM Nikon lens with me, coming back from our fishing trip (unfortunately weather was rough and caught nothing) I was able to take these two pelican shots, and I thought I would share with everyone.

The details you've captured in the pelicans is fabulous.
The second shot, it's a shame you clipped the wings, but it's still a lovely shot.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.
 
Really interesting to see some non-UK wildlife - hoping that we're going to get to see more.

Lovely detail in the 2nd one and a great moment there with his beak open.
It is just a little tight in the frame for me though. Partly as Ruth said because of the clipped wings and partly because I would have loved to have had more of a glimpse of those huge feet under the water.
It's a very, very good shot as it is, just a tiny bit wider and it would have been a fantastic shot :)
