anyone here got any know how of a budget oldie digi camera that does great video from a 6ft distance . im thinking of around the £50 mark , whats the canon 450d like on vids? im peddling stuff on ebay and etsy

Why mot use your smartphone
i found that using a smartphone my images werent very vivid colours-they were just meh. Have been using a fujifilm finepix s2000hd and its depth of colours i like ,however the video quality isnt great [but the sound IS] , eBAY i can list a 1 minute vid to accompany every listing and im wanting to maximize that opportunity

somewhere i read of a particular ageing digicam camera that was especially good with blue hues ,im quite big on blue now IF that camera had an ace vid quality be well worth investing a buck

£50 I don't think will be anywhere near enough to meet your rquirements. Even a memory card would eat into that amount providing it is not a fake one, then a cheap lens will knock the remaining money intio the ball park.
this may give you a better idea of used prices if you look around this site

you may do better getting one on a 3 day hire

I sell a bit on eBay too and honestly the camera mattered less than the setup. For short listing videos I lock my phone on a cheap tripod, turn off auto exposure, and shoot next to a big window with a white foam board bouncing light back. If colours look flat, set white balance manually and add a touch of saturation in a free editor rather than chasing an old camera. Blues come out much better once the white balance is fixed. Keep each clip slow, one smooth turn of the item, then a close-up of labels and any flaws. Buyers trust that.
