Outgoing emails & Returned Mail reports????

URGENT HELP NEEDED:


Ive had an AOL email account for the past 5 years and have never had a problem with it however this morning i logged on to find:

42 messages in the 'Spam Folder', ALL being 'Returned Mail: See transcript for details'

1 message in my inbox from 'Agent Signer' SUBJECT RE: (Havent a clue who this is OR why they are contacting me)

3 messages in my 'Sent Folder' with 'info' as the Subject and all 3 contained a link. These were sent to:

Galabingo,JackpotJoy,iTunesStoreSupport,IndividualFinance,AudioClinic,HolidaysinSpain etc etc.........?? :shrug:

And a couple of emails were also sent out to afew of my friends containing links only???



Has someone managed to hack into my account??
 
Ive changed my password already. It was the first thing i thought of.

The Individual Finance email was an email sent directly to them. Its in my sent folder with 'IndividualFinance' as the subject with just a link in the description?? Sent to 'IndividualFinance@submersedsutlery.com'
 
Ive just this minute received another 'Returned Mail: see transcript for details' email in my Spam folder showing my dads business email address but no message to my dads email address is showing in my Sent folder??

The returns differ:


*Unfortunately, messages from ***.***.***.*** weren't sent. Please
contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our
block list.

*Unfortunately, some messages from **.**.***.*** weren't sent. Please try again. We have limits for how many messages can be sent per hour and per day.
 
all 3 are pretty standard, the first part suggests that AOL is on a block list (doesnt surprise me, seems fairly common for them these days).

the second basically the address it was sent to doesnt exist.

and the third might be from AOL themselves saying your account is exceeding the usage on email.

hopefully you should see these stop over the next 24 hours as all outstanding email has reached its intended destination.

the problem is AOL's mail servers are probably on a block list (not just from your spamming dont worry, AOL seems to be an easy target and ends up on block lists regularly) so you may have trouble sending legitimate email.

One email i have just noticed was sent on Friday 27th to:

07851******@o2.com . The subject was blank and the email once again, contained only a link.

That above number is my mobile phone number :eek:

How would anyone have got that????? :shrug:

Not that im aware of :thinking:. I'm normally perticular about who i hand out my mobile number to. Could it have been retrieved from an email stored within my AOL account?

My AOL account is only really used for TP,Facebook,eBay. I very rarely sort through my emails and still have emails in my inbox dating back to the beginning of 2010. Say if i had sold/bought an item from eBay or TP and included my number in an email, this could have been retrieved from who ever accessed my account, couldnt it. Although it wouldnt have been easy searching through the whole inbox??

Afew days ago my PC started playing up, ive yet had time to sort it out. Every now and again (can happen 2-3 times per day) a blue screen comes up and something about 'collecting data for crash dump' and after reaching 100%, the PC restarts.

I've been reading on the internet that this COULD be due to a virus and as this started happening around the same time that my email address was hacked into. Could there be any connection between the two? Could i have let anything in by opening any of the emails?
