Can anyone recommend a set of headphones (not in ear buds) for use with PC to play music that have noise cancelling built in?

If the noise cancelling works without music needing to be played even better. They are for work in an attempt to drown out the habitual coughers, sniffers, throat clearers and grunters every office seem to have its share of.

Thanks

Watching with interest, could do with some here urgently for the easter holidays! If they could be inconspicuous so they can be work all the time even better!!

I've used a number of tao Tronic in ear devices, and I can honestly say I reccomend them.

The TT's do end us on Amazon prime sales quite often.

I've never actually tried any of their over head ones, I've only ever used the Sony on hear.2 (pretty good but bulky) and the Bose (which I love and now own).

I bought a couple of pairs of these for long haul flights. They work well at cutting out the drone of the engines and being over the ear closed back other short term noise is reduced but unless you spend a lot more money I don't think coughs and sneezes are going to be completely attenuated.
They aren't in the same league as the Bose I've tried but then they cost a heck of a lot less.

They also do later models with bluetooth, rechargeable batteries etc.

We use the EvoDX bud type on flights and beaches. Cut out a lot (not all) of the background noise and deliver perfectly good sound from the source. I expect the over ear ones from them do as good a job, if not better.

I'd avoid 7dayshop's own brand Aero 7 headphones, though (also on that page). I thought they were absolutely fine until, after a few months light use, I heard a snapping noise while I was wearing them! A fragile plastic component that connected the phones to the headband had broken clean through under the ordinary tension of wearing them. Looks like I'm not the only one to have problems:

After these turned out to be a false economy, I bought Sennheisers. Mine were over £200, but they have models you can get for under £100.
