Pictures taken of an Eagle Owl and a Harris Hawk at a flying display this week.
This is my first picture post and I am a total novice to wildlife photography. C & Cs most welcome

stunning shots,but the owl, what a capture, hard to say how it might have been improved,so dynamic, lets hope it's the start of things to come
 
love the owl shot. shows the intense way they look sooooo well
 
#2 is great, super sharp eyes ! i think on #1 i'd close down the aperture a little to get a bit more wing detail ?
 
When you get the hang of it you will improve..............;) :) :LOL:

No 2 is brilliant...just stick No 1 through a levels lighten to get a bit more detail to show.

Hi Robgigphot and welcome. Two great captures for sure, hard to pick a fave from either. Taken with a Nikon by any chance? :thinking:
 
If thats you as a novice I would hate to see what's to come!!!

Cracking set, love the DOF in No.1 and the eyes in No. 2 are fantastic
 
I wish some of my early (and current) birds in flight shots had been as good as these(y)(y)
