OK, I'll start by saying both lenses are stunning and I'm expecting a rebait!!!

I own a Sigma 17-50mm DC f/2.8 and I love it on my 7D. I have 2 weddings lined up over the next 24 months and I have been looking at the above 2 lenses, not specifically for weddings for all occasions (likley landscape too) but they'd help with their low stops.

If I get the 18-35mm, I'll sell the Sigma 17-50 and if I get the 35mm, I'll keep the Sigma 17-50mm.

Panamoz offers:
Sigma 35mm F/1.4 AF DG HSM Art Lens - £566 Buy Now / £537.70 via BACS

Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM - £499 Buy Now / £474.05 BACS

Owners of these lenses, what's your experience been?
Have you used both?
How do they compare? (apart from focul length)

Interested in your views/comments :)

Sorry, can't help with the lenses.

But me sure to check the warranty status for panamoz sold sigma lenses. If you need anything doing to them (calibration etc) Sigma UK can be difficult with imported gear.

I bought my 35 f1.4 Art from digital rev as paramoz were out of stock. Took less than 48 hrs to arrive. And yes, the lens is stunning. Had to micro adjust via the sigma USB thingy, which I bought for £26 on amazon. But the lens is super sharp.

The Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART is a stunning, stunning lens, but in my opinion it needs a full-frame body to really sing (plus I found 35mm spot on for the wedding I shot recently, 50mm would have felt too long.)

I haven't used the 18-35, but I would imagine focal length wise it would be the better option on an APS-C body.

Another plus for the Sigma 35. A stunningly sharp lens even at F1.4.

Personally I'd get the 18-35, whilst it might not be quite as good as the the prime at 35mm it is effectively lots of prime lenses in one - seems a bit of a now brainer to me...

You do know one is a full frame lens and the other a crop lens, surely that would be the major influence in your choice

Aside from the fact you can't use an APS-C lens on a FF, both on my 7D would be worth it!
