P7000 flash problem?!?!?

Hi All

I have just brought the Nikon P7000 as a "keep in my handbag camera" as Im sick of missing photos when ive not got my D700 with me. I thought this would be a great solution as it gives you most of the options you get with a DSLR. However after having it for not even 24hours I have noticed a big problem. The built in flash will not work in any of the manual modes apart from full auto!!!!!!

Now this is a big problem cause when im inside and need flash it just turns into a point and shoot camera bang: arghhhhhhhhhh, i brought it to have full controll :bang!!!

Anyone else have this problem and did you fix it???

Hi, the manual states that default flash mode for M is auto, and it also has manual flash mode which should allow you to change from default.
I sold my P7000 so can't check, but thinking back to my days with it, I think you need the flash up before you can change the settings. There may also be a software bug that affects the flash settings, but I think opening the flash should get round it for now.
