padlocked

taken on a street in nice harsh strong sunlight.

what I really like is the new steel padlock against the worn flaky paint. quite like the colours too. The harsh light really adds with the shadow of the padlock and by highlighting all the flakyness of the paint. Parts look very sharpened, but they are not, as it's just the directional light that gives that effect. An effect I preferred to that given by diffuse light. thanks for looking and comments would be lovely.

great shot, yes the light is a bit harsh but its captured and thats all that really matters. I do like the colours and the texture in the paint, seems strange to padlock a uncared for door, makes me wonder if there is any decent treasure lurking inside. This is my kind of image

many thanks for the kind words. Was playing with a crop and quite liked this as it makes more of the lock but then, it loses some of the lovely paint.

It is a galvanised door, thats why the paint is flaking.
