Since I frist tried a G1 late last year I've really fancied getting one, but keep resisting. Well now I've been offered a reasonable deal on one and am very tempted to go for it but can't decide whether to get the basic one or the two lens kit. So if anyone can offer me any feedback on the 45-200 lens (and the camera) it would be much appreciated.

I have both, I bought the 200 seperately for about £240. The long lens is good but I found it a bit much for me, I don't really do long shot stuff and it kind of ruins the compactness of the camera. It is quite good value, and works well though.
There's a folder called 'Thames Path' in my sig link, all taken on the 200, all the other folders were with the 14-45.

Thanks for the link and the info. Looking at prices it seems that I won't really save money buying the twin lens kit over buying the second lens on it's own later, so I've taken the plunge and ordered a standard one lens kit.
