I am doing a trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and want to do a project during the trip. I have gallery space possibly organised already. I was thinking of possibly getting a Panasonic GF1 to do the project with.
I usually use a Nikon D3 and I am aware that the quality will suffer in comparison. I am doing lots of travel via public transport and boats and feel that the weight of the D3 and all the kit I usually carry might get a bit much. I was recently on a trip to Morocco and gear did become quite frustrating with its weight.
Two GF1s and lenses would still probably weigh less and take up less room than the D3 and two lenses.
Just asking really if the GF1 is good enough to do a reasonably professional project on?
