Just bought a GF2 and the battery seems to gonflat really quick, is it just me? Are there any other makers the Panaa
Sonic spare battery is £50 plus
 
Theres plenty of cheaper alternative batteries on eBay i can't comment on how good they are or if in future if Panasonic will make a firmware update to stop 3rd party batteries working ....

Im sure they did that with a older model camera in the past :thinking:

AFAIK, it applies to all models released after that date, including my G2 and the OP's GF2. Third party batteries won't work with them.
 
I never knew they could stop the use of third party batteries, that is terrible. Thanksvfor the heads up.
 
Just got one too, the battery life seems fine to me. The new batteries are a tad pricey though

The battery will not reach full capacity for a few recharge cycles. I think normal life seems to be about 250 or so shots. Were you getting anywhere near this? Bear in mind, battery life will be shorter just after you bought the camera because you will be fiddling, sorry, learning how to use it!
